Robert J. Tenhagen, CSP

Senior Risk Manager


Robert Tenhagen is a Senior Risk Manager in the Milwaukee office of M3 Insurance. Specializing in property and casualty, Robert works with clients to develop safety programs, conduct job site audits and develop risk management strategies. His areas of focus include construction risk management and safety.

Education/Experience

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Robert received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in occupational safety and health. He worked for Travelers Insurance for 21 years as a Senior Construction Specialist. Within Travelers’ construction division, Robert was a regional post injury management and contractual risk transfer specialist. He joined the M3 team in 2011.

Accreditations

Robert is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). He is currently completing the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and working towards his LEED AP designation. He has attended DBI Sala’s 40-hour fall protection training, Crane Institute of America’s 40-hour crane safety training, and Wisconsin Underground Contractors Association 8-hour Competent Person Training for Trenching and Excavation. He has also taken specialized training in fleet management, supported/suspended scaffolding, rigging, work zone safety, underground line hit prevention, power line hazard awareness, wind energy safety management, and crisis management.

Community Impact

Robert is member of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association (WTBA), Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Greater Milwaukee and Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Underground Contractors Association (WUCA) and Common Ground Alliance (CGA) safety committees.
