Wisconsin Mask Mandate Extended

Compliance, COVID-19

On Friday, November 20, the Governor of the State of Wisconsin declared a Public Health Emergency and issued an Emergency Order extending the requirement for individuals to wear face coverings when in an enclosed space and not in a private residence.  This order essentially extends the current mandate and is effective immediately.

The orders from the Governor include Executive Order #95 which declares a public health emergency and Emergency Order #1, which provides definitions for enclosed spaces and face coverings as directed under the order.

This order will remain in place until January 19, 2021 or by a subsequent superseding order.

There are now 36 states with similar orders in place, including Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota.

Takeaway

This emergency order requiring face coverings in enclosed spaces has been extended until Saturday, January 19, 2021.  Decision makers in your organization would be well served to thoroughly review the latest emergency order to understand how this will affect your operations.
