Wisconsin Issues Mask Mandate

On Thursday, July 30, the Governor of the State of Wisconsin declared a Public Health Emergency and issued an Emergency Order requiring individuals to wear face coverings when in an enclosed space and not in a private residence.  This emergency order is effective 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 1.

The orders from the Governor include Executive Order #82 which declares a public health emergency and Emergency Order #1, which provides definitions for enclosed spaces and face covers as directed under the order.

This order will remain in place until September 28, 2020 or by a subsequent superseding order.

There are now 31 states with similar orders in place, including Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota.

This emergency order requiring face coverings in enclosed spaces will be implemented on Saturday, August 1.  Decision makers in your organization would be well served to thoroughly review the emergency order to understand how this will affect your operations.
