Wisconsin Governor Declares Public Health Emergency and Extends Mask Mandate

On Tuesday, September 22, the governor of the state of Wisconsin declared a Public Health Emergency and issued an emergency order extending the requirement for individuals to wear face coverings when in enclosed spaces and not in private residences.  This order effectively extends the current requirement and is effective immediately.

The orders from the governor include Executive Order #90 which declares a public health emergency and Emergency Order #1, which provides definitions for enclosed spaces and face coverings as directed under the order.

This order will remain in place until November 21, 2020 or by a subsequent superseding order.

There are now 34 states with similar orders in place, including Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota.
