Wisconsin Extends Safer at Home Order

On Thursday, April 16, 2020, the Governor of the State of the Wisconsin published an emergency order which extends and slightly alters the “Safer at Home” rules in place for residents and businesses.

Emergency Order #28 included detailed guidance for safety, travel and defines guidelines for essential businesses.  Included in the order are guidelines for non-essential minimum basic operations.

This order will remain in place until Tuesday, May 26 at 8am CST, or unless a superseding order is issued.

Neighboring states with similar orders in place include Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota.

Takeaway:

This emergency order extends the previous “Safer at Home” order which was implemented on March 25, for Wisconsin residents and places of business. Decision makers in your organization would be well served to thoroughly review this emergency order to understand how this order will affect your operations.
