37 of 50: United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County

United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County (UCP) provides specialized support to children and adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. For UCP, the idea of community plays a big role in how they provide services. The organization’s goal is to ultimately help people reach their full potential – as individuals and as accepted members in the greater community.

UCP conducts a range of programs that not only help those with disabilities but also provide support to families as well. Take for example its Birth to 3 Connections, an evidence-based early intervention program that supports parents in the vital first three years of their child’s infancy. The program involves assigning families a primary coach who helps in establishing positive routines and activities.

Another outstanding UCP program is Respite Care. UCP helps parents or other primary caregivers take a valuable break from their care-giving demands. The program is just one more indicator of how UCP considers the entire family dynamic as it works to help those with disabilities live life as fully as possible within a supportive community.

We celebrate – and support – the reach and impact of UCP

M3 supports UCP through financial contributions and volunteering efforts. Our involvement with this exceptional organization also includes being a sponsor at its annual Celebrity Gala and Auction, where a number of M3 employees volunteer as servers. In addition, M3’s Isaac Bechen has been on the UCP board of directors for the past two years.

Tri-North Builders, one of our clients, originally introduced me to UCP and the great work it does,” says Isaac. “As I became more and more active with UCP, I also discovered people in my own life that have benefitted from UCP’s support. This organization changes lives. I’m really proud to be associated with it.”

M3 Insurance’s commitment to ensuring our community is a place where everyone is accepted, valued and included is inspiring and appreciated. We are proud and grateful to call them a partner in assisting us with achieving our mission of Understanding Disabilities, Creating Opportunities and Promoting Community. On behalf of the children and adults with disabilities we serve and their families, we offer a heartfelt ‘Thank you!’
