M3 Interns Awarded $25,000 by The Council Foundation
M3 is proud to announce that five M3 interns have been selected as recipients of a $5,000 scholarship for the 2018-19 academic year by The Council Foundation.
In awarding the scholarships, an independent selection committee looks for candidates who have the potential to excel as leaders and contributors in the commercial insurance brokerage business sector. Congratulations to the following 2018 M3 summer interns who met the criteria:
- Hunter Klus
- David Moorman
- Megan Peyton
- Kaitlyn Steinhilber
- Carlie Zielinski
The Council Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization instituted by the Washington, D.C.-based Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. Part of the Foundation’s core mission is to secure the future of the commercial insurance brokerage business by attracting and developing tomorrow’s talent, like Klus, Moorman, Peyton, Steinhilber and Zielinski.
“Commercial insurance brokerage is a career choice that is flush with job opportunities for young college graduates,” said Ken A. Crerar, president/CEO of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. “It is estimated that the broader insurance industry will need to fill 400,000 positions by 2020 due to impeding retirements. When student interns knock on our door, it is important to promote our industry as one that is looking for versatile skillsets and creativity, while providing good-paying jobs that support the community and opportunities for excellent work-life balance.”
The five interns from M3 are among 75 college students across the country who received Council Foundation scholarships this year.
