50 of 50: The M3 Foundation

50 of 50: 50 Years Logo

Throughout this year, M3’s weekly 50 for 50 blog series has featured events, organizations, and partners that help make our communities stronger. To culminate this year of gratitude and recognition, we’d like to feature an initiative that ties it all together for us here at M3—the M3 Foundation.

Giving generously and supporting causes we care about is an integral part of M3’s culture. In fact, it’s a major focus area for our company and has been since our founding more than 50 years ago. With the formation of the M3 Foundation in 2016, we are working to ensure that our commitment to community will remain strong and live on for years to come.

A carefully organized, conscious way to give back and do good

The M3 Foundation is a 501(c)3 corporation governed by an M3 employee board of directors and focuses on causes that support health care, safety improvement, catastrophic event relief, financial education and literacy, and the promotion of careers in the insurance industry.

Of course there is always an element of official business involved with our philanthropic activities. But that should never overshadow the real reason why giving is so important to M3 in the first place. The 50 for 50 blog series provides a glimpse of the amazing people and organizations that make our communities better places to live and work. The profound impact they make on thelives of others is what it’s all about.

“One of the reasons I was drawn to M3 was knowing there is a strong commitment to giving back to our local communities. Finding ways to give back to the community is important to me personally and professionally as well. I wanted to become a member of the M3 Foundation Board to actively contribute to our collective mission of making a positive impact on our communities.”  – Lindsey Hamielec, Client Service Advisor at M3

“Community involvement and support has always been important to me and it was important for me to work for an organization with the same viewpoint. I wanted to be a Board member to help establish and grow the Foundation. I also want to increase the exposure and involvement for the regional offices across Wisconsin in regards to M3’s community involvement.” – Kevin Miller, Account Executive at M3
