Director of Food & Agribusiness Practice
Jen Pino-Gallagher is the director of food and agribusiness practice at M3 Insurance. In her role, Jen identifies the most effective and efficient way to help clients in the food and agribusiness industry identify growth opportunities and reduce risk within their operations. She leverages M3’s multiple resources and her food/agriculture expertise to help clients remain competitive within the increasingly globalized world of food and agribusiness.
Prior to joining M3, Jen worked at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) for 11 years. Midway through her career with DATCP, she was promoted to director of the international agribusiness center. In this role she set the strategy and executed programs to grow the markets for Wisconsin's diverse agricultural products locally, regionally, and internationally. She has executed trade-building missions on four continents and helped create global awareness of Wisconsin as a powerhouse in food and agricultural production. Jen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995. She then continued her studies abroad via an international exchange program at the Universidad de Colima, Colima, Mexico.
Jen is a licensed property and casualty agent in the State of Wisconsin and is HACCP certified with an emphasis in meat and poultry processing. She is also a member of Wisconsin’s District Export Council, a past president of the Madison International Trade Association, and a past board member of both the U.S. Dairy Export Council and the U.S. Livestock Genetic Export, Inc. In 2017, Jen received the NABSITE's Advancing International Trade (AIT) Award for Wisconsin. Jen is also a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), accredited by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), having completed the training in Spring of 2018.
