Emily Selck is director of cyber liability at M3 Insurance. In this role, she is responsible for sales support, market relations, training, and thought leadership within the cyber, media, and technology error and omissions (E&O) lines of coverage. She also oversees and develops M3's cyber book of business. In serving as a cyber security strategist and advisor, Emily helps clients mitigate cyber exposures through preventative controls and formal risk transfer mechanisms.
Emily earned a degree in organizational communication from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. She went on to earn her Cyber COPE Insurance Certification from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2019. Prior to joining M3 August 2020, Emily was senior vice president and cyber liability practice leader for HUB International, where she was responsible for the creation of the cyber liability practice for the Central and West regions. Before joining HUB, she oversaw a book of business as a senior broker at Integro Insurance Brokers and Aon Risk Services with specialization in cyber liability, media liability, miscellaneous professional liability, and technology E&O.
Emily is a licensed property and casualty agent in the state of Illinois and is pursuing her Wisconsin license.
Emily has been published on the subject of cyber liability in the following publications: Risk and Insurance, the Cannabis Industry Journal, and Security World. She has frequently been a featured cyber liability panel member at industry events, including: Chicagoland RIMS, the Oklahoma Health and Safety Conference, the Retirement Advisory Council, and the Entrepreneurship Institute.
