Director of Employee Benefits Education & Government Practice
Bec Kurzynske is an account executive and director of the employee benefits education and government practice for M3 Insurance. Specializing in employee benefits, her primary role is to assist her clients in the design, implementation, and management of their risk management programs. In addition to managing and growing her book of business, as the director of the education and government practice, she serves as a subject matter expert, strategist, and thought leader, and is responsible for sharing information on trends and issues that specifically impact this practice. Bec's education and professional background provide her with a unique understanding of Wisconsin's public sector.
Bec joined M3 in July 2019, bringing relevant experience from her previous roles as a teacher, building administrator, central office administrator, and superintendent of schools. She has acted as an employee advocate, both as a union representative and a human resources professional for a large rural school district. She has also served as an elected member and clerk on the board of education for a rural public school district from 2009-2015. Bec earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education and broadfield social studies from St. Norbert College in 2004; a Master of Education in reading education from Viterbo University in 2009; and a Master of Education in administration and supervision from National Louis University in 2011. She returned to Viterbo University in 2014 to obtain her certification as a Wisconsin superintendent of schools.
Bec is a licensed health and life agent in the state of Wisconsin. She holds Wisconsin teacher licenses in social studies, history, political science, psychology, sociology, reading as well as administrator licenses for the roles of principal, director of curriculum, student services director, and superintendent of schools. She is also a former member of WASDA (Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators), WASB (Wisconsin Association of School Boards), and WASPA (Wisconsin Association of School Personnel Administrators).
Actively involved in the community, Bec serves as a Partners in Education board member for the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce; as an outdoor sports facilities fundraising work group member with Red Raider Field of Dreams; and as an economic development committee member with the Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce.
