James Brunker is a Partner and Senior Account Executive in the Madison office of M3 Insurance. Specializing in property and casualty insurance, his primary role is to place insurance products and counsel existing clients. Using risk management strategies and insurance planning, Jim designs solutions for clients and advises them to ensure that their coverage continues to meet their needs.

Education/Experience

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance, real estate and insurance from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. Before joining M3 in 2000, Jim was a claims unit manager for General Casualty Insurance and supervised ligation.

Accreditations

A licensed property and casualty insurance agent in the State of Wisconsin, Jim has earned the following designations: Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). He takes part in national professional development programs to stay current with industry trends. In addition, Jim is a past president of the Dairyland Chapter of the CPCU Society.

Community Impact

Jim serves on the Risk Management Committee for the Wisconsin Agri-Business Association. He also served as treasurer and a voting board member on the Madison International Trade Association board. Jim is active with Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, promoting development of international business planning for manufacturers. He has received his Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification, Hazard Analysis & Critical Points (HACCP) certification, and regularly attends Innovation Center for US Dairy food safety workshops. Jim volunteers for the Wisconsin Agribusiness Classic, and also for subcommittee work at the Wisconsin Department of Agricultural Trade & Consumer Protection (DATCP) on emerging issues.
